Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport



lyon Saint-Exupéry airport was inaugurated in 1975 under the initial name of Lyon-Satolas and was renamed with its current name in 2000, as a tribute to the Lyon-born Antoine Saint-Exupéry. In 1994, the TGV station was inaugurated. Designed by the Catalan architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava, its bold architecture, visible for several kilometers around, evokes for some people the image of a bird taking flight. the Parc Olympique Lyonnais, also known as the Grand Stade de Lyon or the Stade des Lumières, is a soccer stadium and a sports and leisure complex that includes the stadium located in Décines-Charpieu, in the eastern part of the Lyon metropolitan area. It is owned by OL Groupe, the holding company of which Olympique Lyonnais soccer club is a part. The construction project dates back to 2007, and the stadium was built from 2012 to 2015 and inaugurated in 2016. (15 minutes from the farm)

The Caves of La Balme



visited since 1807, the Caves of La Balme are one of the most remarkable natural spaces in France. Small basins (gours), draperies, stalactites and stalagmites, labyrinths, underground lake... The Caves of La Balme are a magical and mysterious place where emotions and sensations grow with your visit. 22 species of bats have been staying at the Caves of La Balme temporarily or permanently for more than 25 years. The Dombes and the park of the Birds



north of Lyon, the Dombes are plateaus composed of ponds and swamps partly drained by monks. Many species of birds take up residence in these landscapes which are also a point of passage for many migrations. It is in this preserved place that a bird park was created in Villars-les-Dombes. There are more than 400 species of birds from all over the world, including flamingos, pelicans, ostriches, penguins, ibises, condors, great horned owls, toucans, macaws, youyou, storks..... a small train allows you to make a tour of the park. Pérouges



it is a small medieval city well preserved and classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. You can visit the church, the museum located on the central square where you can also find souvenir stores, stroll along the streets where you will not fail to notice the gutter which was used to evacuate the waste water that the inhabitants threw into the street in the Middle Ages. A medieval festival is organized over two days in June each year. And do not miss to taste the famous cake, all butter sprinkled with sugar, whose recipe dates from 1912. (25 minutes from the farm)
